Jeffrey Oertel received his Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.  Mr. Oertel has received numerous awards including those from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota.  Jeffrey is also affiliated with multiple professional organizations such as the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the American Public Works Association, and the American Institute of Architects, among many others.

Mr. Oertel's experience includes planning, feasibility studies, and programming; specification writing; Municipal Buildings, Public Works Planning and Design; Park and Recreation Projects; Principal Architectural Historian; and Forensics and Building Analysis.

Jeffrey started his Architectural career in 1976 and was employed by a number of Architectural Firms in various positions including Vice President of a mid-size firm.  Mr. Jeffrey Oertel started his own firm in 1996, the firm has been successful since it's inception.

Diane Trout-Oertel received her Master of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and her Bachelor of Arts from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.  Diane is affiliated with a number of Professional Organizations including LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), the Saint Paul Heritage Preservation Commission, the Construction Specifiers Institute, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.  Ms. Trout-Oertel has also served as the President for the AIA Saint Paul Board of Directors.

Diane Trout-Oertel's experience includes Project Architect, Project Manager, and Designer roles at numerous firms; along with her current position of Vice President for Oertel Architects.

Diane's current primary interest of focus is in historic preservation and historic restoration.  Ms. Trout-Oertel is known for her achievement of preparing numerous nominations for the National Register.

Ms. Brandwick serves as project architect with experience in municipal, commercial and residential architecture.  Deb has extensive experience with public works facilities and multi-family residential buildings.  Deb Brandwick's responsibilities include project administration, spatial planning, design development, project coordination, client contact, drafting and CAD supervision.

Prior to Ms. Brandwick's role as Associate at Oertel Architects, Deb was employed at Arthur Dickey Architects, Inc. as a designer and draftsperson.  Ms. Brandwick's areas of focus included single family housing, public works facilities and retail spaces.

Deb Brandwick has a number of professional affiliations which include the AIA - American Institute of Architects, the USGBC - United States Green Building Council, and the MPWA - Minnesota Public Works Association.  Deb is also a LEED accredited professional and received her Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design degrees from North Dakota State University.

Mr. Stromsodt serves as a project architect with experience in public works, commercial, retail, and residential architecture.  Thomas has worked with new construction, historic renovations and building expansions.  Mr. Stromsodt's responsibilities include schematic design, master planning, project coordination, client and public contact, construction documents and construction administration.

Thomas is affiliated with numerous professional organizations including the AIA - American Institute of Architects, the APWA- American Public Works Association, and the MPWA - Minnesota Public Works Association.  Mr. Stromsodt received his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design degrees from North Dakota State University.

Mr. Cooper has worked on a number of projects at the firm and has filled a variety of roles.  Andrew has worked with new construction projects along with building renovations and expansions.  Andrew's responsibilities include schematic design, master planning, project coordination, client and public contact, 3D building modeling, construction documents and construction administration.

Mr. Cooper is affiliated with numerous professional organizations including the AIA - American Institute of Architects, the APWA- American Public Works Association, and the MPWA - Minnesota Public Works Association.  Andrew received his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design degrees from North Dakota State University.

Mr. Betcher serves as a designer and job captain with experience in residential architecture, public works facilities, park and recreational facilities, commercial, and retail facilities.  Ron's responsibilities include master planning, schematic design, project coordination, client and public contact, construction documents and construction administration.

Mr. Betcher is a member of the AIA - American Institute of Architects, and the Minnesota Society of the American Institute of Architects.  Ron received his Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis.

Ms. Dever serves as an interior designer, resource librarian, marketing coordinator and office manager to the firm.  To date Brenda has worked on, in some capacity, virtually every project that has come through the office.  Ms. Dever's responsibilities include: composing proposals and qualifications packages for potential projects, spatial planning, architectural drawings, interior and exterior finish selections, furniture selection, creating presentation boards, composing finish schedules and plans, client contact and CAD drafting.

Brenda is affiliated with a number of professional organizations including the IIDA - International Interior Design Association, the IIDA Northland Chapter, the SDA - Society for Design Administration National Chapter and the SDA - Minnesota Chapter.  Ms. Dever received her FIDER Accredited Associates Degree in Interior Design from the Dakota County Technical College - Rosemount, MN.

Mr. Werner serves as a project architect with experience in municipal, commercial, hospitality, institutional, retail and residential sectors of architecture.  Eric has worked with new construction as well as building renovation and remodeling.  Mr. Werner's responsibilities include schematic design, master planning, project coordination, client and public contact, 3D building modeling, construction documents, and construction administration.

Prior to Mr. Werner's role as Project Architect at Oertel Architects, Eric was employed at Architectural firms in New York and North Dakota.  Mr. Werner's previous experience includes assisted living facilities, multi-family and single-family residential and retail establishments.

Mr. Werner is a member of the AIA - American Institute of Architects, and the Minnesota Society of the American Institute of Architects.  Eric received his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design degrees from North Dakota State University.
