Shakopee Public Works Facility

Shakopee Public Works was a new facility along with the renovation of an existing building:

40,320 square feet : new
Completion in spring of 2006
Construction Cost: $5,337,925

Features of the new facility included: (2) automated truck and car wash bays (which are shared with Scott County), separate welding areas and dedicated exhaust, motion light activation systems, vehicle staging areas, in-floor radiant heating of the vehicle maintenance area, emergency and off peak generator, centralized bulk fluids storage, 24-hour fueling facility (utilized by City, Scott County, Shakopee Public Utilities and the school district) and an emphasis on natural light.  All areas of the Shakopee Public Works facility were designed and planned to be easily expandable in the future.
