Northcrest Office Warehouse
This project included the conversion of two office and warehouse buildings in the City of Edina. The goal of the project was to create a new image for the buildings, and also to justify increases in lease rates. The two buildings, while identical in plan and form, had different types of veneers, one stone and one brick. The new design unifies both of the buildings into a singular cohesive entity, as requested by the client. At the front of the building, loading areas are situated. These areas previously included plain box-type roofs covering the truck loading stalls. The inception of this renovation came about as a result of the roof shelter on one of the buildings collapsing. The new canopies were designed with arched roofs, which differentiate the two buildings from others in the industrial park, while also denoting change from the old design to the new.
