Rockford public works was designed as a new facility:

24,900 square feet

Construction cost: $2,328,400

The 24,900 sq.ft. facility features a 15,650 sq.ft. vehicle storage area, a 1,200 sq.ft. vehicle wash bay, a 3,335 sq.ft. vehicle maintenance area and a 3,825 sq.ft. office area.  The office area includes offices, locker rooms, a kitchen, and a meeting area.

The new facility incorporates many energy efficient features such as: a green roof, landscaped berms, expansive windows to the south and east, low-e insulated glass, and interior motion sensitive lights that are automatically activated and inactivated.  There is also an existing building on site that will be reused for cold storage.
