WILLIAM O’BRIEN STATE PARK
Marine on St. Croix, Minnesota

The DNR was looking for “a new image, rooted in the past” for the design of their Contact Station.  The new design is a striking upgrade to the older and smaller building located at the site.  Exterior materials used for the contact station include Kasota stone, heavy timbers, and wood siding.  The interior is attractive and inviting  The warm wood tones and vaulted ceilings make this a welcoming space for park visitors.  In addition to the contact station, there was an expansion and renovation of the existing sanitation building, which includes restrooms, showers, and vending for the campers.
